- Crypts III research
This is how the Abandoned crypt looks in the Watchtower's Crypts and Arenas list. The Watchtower filters by rarity and level but not by crypt type, so you pick it out by its picture.
Only the Abandoned crypt drops Bone Infusion, so there's no other way to farm it from crypts. Epic crypts unlock with the Crypts III research at level 15 and use Epic Tar, which runs out much faster than common Tar. A common rule is to wait until you clear a level 25 Common crypt in one march.
Sets that need Bone Infusion
Each of these pieces takes one Bone Infusion at the quality of the piece you craft. Four materials of one quality combine into one of the next.

Let a bot run these crypts
Its Explore specific crypts only option sends your captains only to the crypts you tick, like the Abandoned crypt, and skips the rest of the list. TB Crypt Auto-Explorer is a Chrome extension that runs the crypt loop for you: it sets the Watchtower filter, sends Carter (or three captains at once), speeds up the march with your own speedups and sends him out again the moment he's home. It never buys Tar or anything else.
