This is how the Horrors crypt looks in the Watchtower's Crypts and Arenas list. The Watchtower filters by rarity and level but not by crypt type, so you pick it out by its picture.
Only the Horrors crypt drops Batwing, so there's no other way to farm it from crypts. Epic crypts unlock with the Crypts III research at level 15 and use Epic Tar, which runs out much faster than common Tar. A common rule is to wait until you clear a level 25 Common crypt in one march.
